About Frug
For years, there was only one character I could truly call mine. Pudgy. After creating the original Pudgy Penguins character, I helped build him from a simple drawing into something I never could have predicted. What started inside crypto eventually escaped it completely. Pudgy became a cultural phenomenon. Everyone in the world recognized him and eventually $PENGU becoming a multi billion dollar memecoin. I got to experience firsthand what happens when a character stops belonging to just the artist and starts belonging to the culture. For the last 3 years, Pudgy has been my only focus and I never had time to do my own thing. Recently, the team hasn't needed me as much since I've already created so much art so I've been working on a new passion project of mine. The internet has changed a lot since I first created Pudgy. Right now, everything revolves around aura. The characters and people everyone gravitates toward aren't the ones desperately trying to look cool. The most popular characters are just nonchalant and do whatever they want. That’s exactly what I wanted to capture with my second character. His name is Frug. Frug could be up millions or down millions and you'd never know from looking at him. The entire world could be losing its mind while he stands there with his hands in his pockets and the same expression on his face. He doesn't try to have aura. He just has it. After all these years focusing on Pudgy, it feels good to finally introduce you to my second... my OWN character. Meet Frug. 🐸
