About Jinx
I’ve spent a long time watching something I created grow far beyond anything I could have imagined. I was the artist and creator behind Pudgy Penguins, and seeing a character I drew turn into a worldwide cultural phenomenon has been surreal. Games, toys, plushies, memes, and eventually a multi-billion-dollar memecoin—it showed me firsthand how far a simple character can go when people genuinely connect with it. But eventually, Pudgy became bigger than me. It has an established brand, team, community, and ecosystem that can continue growing without needing me to be at the center of it. I’m incredibly proud of that, but as an artist, I started missing the feeling of creating something completely for myself again. No expectations. No complicated plan. Just drawing a character because I genuinely loved the character. That’s how Jinx came to life. Jinx is a little purple fox with an almost ridiculous amount of aura. He doesn’t need to be the biggest character in the room or constantly prove himself. He can just stand there smiling and somehow you already know he’s the main character. There’s a confidence and presence to him that I immediately fell in love with. The more I drew him, the more it felt like every situation became funnier just by putting Jinx in it. That’s really what I want Jinx to be about. Pure aura. A character that’s instantly recognizable, endlessly memeable, and somehow always looks like he knows something everyone else doesn’t. What excites me most is getting to experience the beginning again. Before everything Pudgy eventually became, it was just a character and an idea. Jinx is at that stage now. I want to draw him, meme him, build his world, and see what happens when the community starts putting their own personality into him. I’ve already watched one character I created become something bigger than I ever imagined. Now I want to see just how far Jinx’s aura can take him. Meet Jinx. 🦊
